This week’s “Freedom Fridays” blog post will be discussing Characteristic #5 of the Millionaire Mindset – They Act Fast. We will also be discussing how by acting fast we were able to take advantage of a golden opportunity – the Digital Gold Rush which is currently exploding all over the world.
WINNING BIG – OUR PERSONAL STORY
We are in our mid 40’s with great careers and a bright future, but felt something was missing. We lacked the true inspiration and zest for life. We were both trading time for money and working around 60 hours a week (including weekends) because we thought that’s just what had to be done to achieve success. George is a digital film maker, and Doug is an office manager. We were both great at our work, particularly after doing it for over 20 years. The type of work we were doing was the only thing we knew to do.
A typical day for us would be getting up at 6am, throwing down some breakfast (if we had time and hadn’t hit Snooze), commuting to work, then holding a morning meeting with a team of people who didn’t really want to be there any more than we did. If we’re honest, success for us at that time was largely money orientated. We put up with the long hours, the politics and the stress, in the hope of a bigger paycheck at the end of the month. To be fair, we were actually both earning great incomes. But regardless of this, we came to realize that our jobs weren’t going to offer us the lifestyle we aspired to, or the kind of person we wanted to be.
All we did was work, work, and more work. We we’re building someone else’s dream, not our own, and every hour on the job, every ounce of effort applied, seemed a waste. We knew something needed to change, and we were determined to make it happen. We acted fast and began winning big in the digital gold rush!
WHAT IS THE DIGITAL GOLD RUSH?
We quickly did some research on living the freedom lifestyle and got introduced to a whole new world, where we could start making money, almost instantly, through a digital – online business model called affiliate marketing. This business model required very little start-up capital, and it also didn’t require us to have any existing online business experience or website or products to sell. What also massively appealed us was that it could be done part-time around our current jobs and other commitments as we began the transition into a full time freedom entrepreneur.
The best part is that with affiliate marketing the vendor does all the hard work (create the websites, the products, the sales funnels, the fulfillment and so on), meaning all we had to do was the marketing i.e. refer customers.We embraced a whole new way of thinking and then decided to take advantage of an opportunity that was totally automated because the one thing we were desperate for was more free time.

3 TIPS FOR ACTING FAST AND ACHIEVING ULTIMATE SUCCESS
- True success comes to one that chooses to make it happen, one that acts fast and takes all out massive action, and is a little crazy. Being a little crazy is what guarantees success. No matter what you do…until someone tells you that you are crazy, you are not working hard enough and taking action fast enough.
- Be on fire every day and don’t let anyone put it out! You have to be bold…don’t wait for anything. You need to act fast and just go for it! In doing so you will build the momentum to design a life you don’t need a vacation from…and create the lifestyle you were meant to live.
- You will never have enough information to feel totally secure about making decisions. You must use the best information available and your gut instinct. Successful entrepreneurs understand there is always some risk and never any guarantees, but there is a time when you have to stop evaluating. You must make a decision on what you want, then commit, act and become! Even a turtle has to stick its neck out to go forward!
- Stop focusing on the obligation (the work to do) and start focusing on the prize (what you will get). You have to abandon those ridiculous fears holding you back. You have to be prepared to pay the price (take massive imperfect action) to get paid the price (all the rewards you want).
Freedom and greater quality of life does not respond to WANT! It responds to ACTION! Knowledge and dreams build belief….and it is excitement and constant action (acting fast) that is the secret to success.
