How to Improve Productivity and Create More Free Time

Hi Friends its Doug Howorko and George Tsougrianis from Zaggtime Lifestyle Design.  It’s time for another edition of our Freedom Fridays blog. In this week’s edition we share some examples of how to improve productivity in the workplace and the benefits it can have on your mental health.

Do you feel stuck in your personal life, work place-career, and in developing real business opportunities?

Do you have a full time job with full time family commitments resulting in no free time, being stressed out; busy zigging around, spinning your wheels hard and fast but going nowhere?

Do you wish you could learn how create more free time to start a business of your dreams?

For a long time I felt depressed because of a lack of passion in my professional life and the limited free time I had to do what was really important to me.  Each day of the week I was dreading my days of being a punching bag and pretending to like it, and spending the weekends trying to recover. It felt like I had unwittingly put a noose around my own neck, and now it was too tight to get off.

Through most of my professional working career I had been locked in a chokehold (stressed with my career misfit, lacking quality of life, fearful of doing something different, and having limited time and energy to do what I truly wanted).

The crazy thing is I’m not alone!  In fact statistics show that 80% of people are unhappy with their job.  This state of unhappiness is due to a number of reasons:
  • Lack of passion for work
  • Workload,
  • People issues,
  • Juggling work and personal lives,
  • Lack of job security
  • Wanting to be the boss.

As a freedom entrepreneur at heart I knew I needed to take action and start to design the life and business I love.  But how does anybody make a change in their lives when they work full time and have full time family commitments when they get come home?  How does anybody in this situation muster up the energy and a few hours of free time each night to start a business?

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs; ask yourself what makes you come alive.  And then go and do that.  Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” –Howard Thurman

Breaking my Chokehold to do what I truly wanted – to start the business of my dreams, all began when I started to treat my job with a new respect.  I began adding more value to my employer, and developing the confidence and the courage to act and to make change. As a result I started to create more free time in my day, and a greater energy to do more.

Here’s What I Did To Improve Productivity

I stepped up my game at work and implemented a Continuous Improvement Program with my staff to help give me access to ideas, tools and techniques proven to proactively position your organization and your team  for new efficiencies, productivity and growth and produce results in these four key areas.

  1. Generate trust, rapport, happiness and personal growth of your employees.
  2. Accelerate your organizational productivity, innovation and competitive position.
  3. Open the door to unprecedented credibility, achievement and accolades.
  4. Convert action into results.

A Continuous Improvement program is the ultimate strategic positioning tool for creating more free time and energy in your life, by combining the power of people, planning, elimination and automation to create outstanding results.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of this blog which dives into more detail on how to Liberate staff, Eliminate waste, Automate processes and Navigate direction.  If you want to create more free time and energy in your life to start a business, you won’t miss out on Part 2.
